The Treat Leaf Original 40mg candy bags are the product that established Treat Leaf as one of the most trusted cannabis edible brands in the Canadian grey market. Nine bags per pack at 40mg each – 360mg total for $49. Consistent dosing in every bag, genuine candy quality without the medicinal aftertaste common in lower-quality edibles, and a track record of reliable results order after order that has built a loyal following among regular cannabis edible users across Canada.
The 40mg per bag format is the right size for users who have moved past beginner doses and want a complete single-serving cannabis edible experience without committing to the higher tolerance level of the Extra 80mg range. One bag per session, no measuring, no cutting – a clean and convenient cannabis edible experience at a dose that works for most regular users.
“Treat Leaf Original has been my go-to edible for two years. The consistency is what keeps me coming back. I know exactly what I am going to get every single order – same flavour, same effect, no surprises. That reliability is worth everything with cannabis edibles.”

The cannabis edible market has a dosing consistency problem. Many products that claim 40mg per piece deliver anywhere from 25mg to 55mg in practice, making every session unpredictable. Treat Leaf Original has built its reputation on genuine 40mg-per-bag consistency – confirmed by thousands of repeat buyers who return specifically because the experience is the same every time. For regular edible users who have dialled in their dose, this predictability is not a nice-to-have. It is the entire point.
The candy quality supports this reputation. Genuine sweet flavour without the earthy hemp taste that makes some cannabis edibles unpleasant. The focus has always been on making a product that is as enjoyable to eat as it is effective, which is why Treat Leaf has maintained its position as the most trusted brand in the Treat Leaf line.
| Experience Level | Suggested Dose | What to Expect | Wait Before More |
|---|---|---|---|
| New to 40mg doses | Half a bag (20mg) | Comfortable body relaxation and mood lift – confirm your response | 90 minutes minimum |
| Regular user at 40mg | 1 bag (40mg) | Full Treat Leaf experience – strong body effect and euphoria, 4 to 6 hours | 90 minutes minimum |
| High tolerance | 1 bag – assess before more | Your established dose – always confirm with a new product before doubling | 2 hours minimum |
Start with less than you think you need and wait the full 90 minutes before taking more. Cannabis edibles are metabolised through the digestive system, which is significantly slower than vaping. The onset takes 30 to 90 minutes and can take up to 2 hours on a full stomach. The most common reason for an overwhelming edible experience is taking a second dose before the first one has registered. If you feel nothing after 45 minutes, you almost certainly just need more time – not more gummies.
The Treat Leaf Original 40mg occasionally sells out due to high demand. If currently unavailable, the Chillin Gummies at 20mg per piece are the closest alternative for standard dose users, and the Treat Leaf Extra 80mg is available for users at the higher end of the tolerance range.

Why do cannabis edibles take so long to kick in?
Edibles are metabolised through the digestive system and processed by the liver before entering the bloodstream – significantly slower than inhaled cannabis. This takes 30 to 90 minutes and sometimes up to 2 hours on a full stomach. The payoff is longer duration – typically 4 to 6 hours versus 2 to 3 hours for vaping.
Is 40mg the right dose for a regular cannabis user?
It depends on your established edible tolerance. Many regular cannabis users who vape daily find that 10 to 20mg is sufficient as an edible dose – vaping tolerance does not transfer directly. If you are new to edibles, start with the Chillin Gummies at 20mg per piece. If you are an established edible user who regularly consumes 40mg comfortably, the Original is the correct choice.
Are these Treat Leaf Original 40mg cannabis edibles suitable for beginners?
No. The Treat Leaf Original 40mg is for regular cannabis edible users who have already established their dose at the 40mg level. New users and those new to edibles should start with the Chillin Gummies at 20mg per piece.

Check both the amount per piece and the total amount in the package. LiT carries products with very different strengths, so the number printed most prominently may refer to one piece or the entire package.
Edibles can take considerably longer than inhaled cannabis to produce noticeable effects. Timing varies with the product, food intake and individual metabolism. Follow the package directions and allow the complete onset period before considering more.
Compare the amount per piece with the serving information in the product description. High-dose edibles are intended for experienced customers and should not be treated like standard low-dose gummies.
Keep them sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Store all cannabis edibles securely away from children and pets, especially products that resemble ordinary candy or baked goods.

I have tried different types of gummies and have liked them all. They have a pleasant taste and help the pain I experience. Thank you for being on the internet and also for making it easy for payment and delivery.
My go to, to have a giggle night
Also the best
Bon au goût en plus de l’effet relaxant
very pleased
Number one gummy on the market.
Awesome
Repurchased many times!
I absolutely LOVE these! As I am a non-smoker, I like that they taste just like candy. The only 2 things I would say that have changed since using this company.. the freezer packets were nice with the silver bag, and they didn’t run out of product all the time. This being said, I do get emails when they are restocked, so that is a bonus!! I won’t use another company, so stay Lit!
These are wonderful but rarely in stock.
Improves sleeping by 33.3%

Having trouble sleeping ? Take one and thank me later !!

My go-to for gummies. They’d get a perfect score if they weren’t so sweet
Help me get a restful nights sleep.
